TOOLS FOR SCHOOLS WHNT NEWS 19's Tools For Schools project is a campaign to help give school children the supplies they need to succeed. We are proud to host the 2010 drive with our partners, Jerry Damson Automotive, Mattress King, LG, Subway and WDRM 102.1! During the month of July, we hosted several mini-drives around the Tennessee Valley. These culminated in a large two-day event, held July 30-31, with Tools For Schools Weekend at the Huntsville Stars. Our drop-off bins were up through August 9 at local Wal-Mart stores. Thanks to each of you who donated school supplies this year! Here is the list of schools that received supplies from our 2010 drive. |
THE DAMSON $100 PLEDGE
Jerry Damson Automotive sells a lot of vehicles. The company pledged to donate $100 to Tools For Schools for every vehicle sold between July 19 and July 31, 2010. Every Honda. Every make. Every model. From any location in Huntsville, Decatur and Florence. This year, the Damson team added $33,900 to the Tools for Schools fund!
