HUNTSVILLE, AL—
The 2010 Alabama sales tax holiday is just around the corner. During the holiday, which starts a minute after midnight on August 6 and ends at midnight on August 8, the state's four percent sales tax will be waived on back-to-school items.The following items are included:
- General clothing $100 or less
- School supplies and textbooks that cost $50 or less
- Other books that are $30 or less
- Computers and computer equipment that is $750 or less
