The city of Madison is holding community forums throughout the month of November to get your input on a possible new sales tax. Members of City Council as well as the Board of Education will be at these meetings to answer any questions you may have about the tax. The proposed sales tax increase would support madison city schools. The first meeting will be Monday at the Madison City Council Meeting. It starts at 6:00pm at the Madison City Hall Council Chambers. The next is Friday, November 13th at 7:00am at Ivey's Restaurant. Then on Saturday, November 14th a presentation will be made at 9:00am in the Bob Jones High School Auditorium. November 19 at 6:30pm another presentation with Q&A will be made at Bob Jones High School. The final meeting and possible vote will be Monday, November 23rd at 6:00pm during the City Council Meeting.
