OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) — Skeletal remains found Thursday have been identified as an Opelika man missing since August.

Authorities say the remains belong to 34-year-old Paul Metroplos.

Authorities say workers of Alabama Power company found his remains approximately 300 yards from where he was last seen.

Evidence suggests he committed suicide by hanging.

The case is being considered complete by the Opelika Police, Lee County Coroner, and the Alabama Dept. of Forensic Sciences.
