Priceville -
There is one death report in Morgan County following severe weather there on Sunday. A tree crashed onto a mobile home killing a 63 year-old Priceville man as he sat in his living room. The National Weather Service has not confirmed if a tornado caused the tree to fall, but the mobile home tells a different story to the man's family.
The location at 532 South Bethel Road was more than just an address. It was a home to five people. It was a place for all them to rest their heads at night, and talk about whatever was on their minds.
One of the people who lived in the mobile home is Margaret Pugh. Pugh was once married to Robert "Bobby" Irwin, but divorced him even though they still lived together with their kids.
"You couldn't ask for anything better. It doesn't matter where you were. If you needed him he would be there," said Storm Victim Margaret Pugh.
Irwin won't be coming back to his Priceville home any more. He was killed after a tree fell onto his home as he sat in the living room.
Irwin served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked as a mechanic after getting out, and always had time for his family.
"He was always there for out kids. He was there for our grandkids. He was just wonderful," added Pugh.
Pugh was with Irwin for 25 years. She has a lot of memories to think of about their time together, but is left holding onto pictures to see each other together again.
Pugh says she was always with Irwin.
However, she left Irwin at home during the storm as she went to a hospital to see a family member. She believes being apart for that short amount of time is the only reason she is here.
"If i hadn't been up there, I would have been in the bed, or living room with Bobby. That would have been a whole new story," added Pugh.
Family members described Bobby Irwin as a character. They say he was just funny, and a great person to be around. They told WHNT News 19 no matter how bad you felt, Irwin was sure to make you laugh.
Everyone who talked to WHNT News 19 outside Irwin's home laughed when looking at old photos.
Irwin's family is in need of financial help. They can not afford a funeral. They've set up a fund. If you'd like to help, you can. It is called the Robert "Bobby" Irwin Fund. It's at the Family Security Credit Union. The account number is 1354311.
