Car Crashes Into Limestone County Restaurant
DECATUR - A car goes crashing through a restaurant in Limestone County.

The crash has restaurant owners thinking up some crafty ideas.

The owners have a new mindset, they changed the sign out front to say drive through ladies restroom.

The crash happened around 11:30 Wednesday night at Hickory Barn and Barbeque on 72 West.

Someone drove straight through the front, slamming their car into the ladies room.

"The ladies room is pretty much a total loss we had a lot of water going different places. So with the help of Clements Fire Department we wound getting everything cleaned up and put back together," said Bill Davis.

Owner Bill Davis got a souvenir from his late night visitor. The grill from the Ford Taurus that plunged through the restaurant.

"We needed something to remember it by. So I got the grill for it. If the car gets totaled which I'm pretty sure it will, I'll wind up with the car tag off it and we'll hang it up with some of our other car tags," said Bill Davis.

Davis isn't sure what caused the person to go crashing into his restaurant he can only speculate.

"She wanted to be first in line to get a barbeque sandwich this morning," said Bill Davis.

The accident was a one car accident. Alabama State Troopers say no alcohol was involved.
