HUNTSVILLE -
A Huntsville family had a rude awakening when a car slammed through their home Tuesday morning.
Madison County Sheriff's deputies stopped the driver of a Honda Accord for a routine traffic stop on Kelly Cemetery Road around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies say the driver took off as they approached the car, and a pursuit began.
Deputies called off the chase once it reached speeds of more than 100 miles an hour. They worked with Huntsville police to find the car, and later found it slammed into a home on Neptune Drive, which is off of Pulaski PIke.
The driver of the car left the scene.
No one in the home was injured.
