Flintville, TN -
Lincoln County, Tennessee authorities are actively working a homicide investigation.
Investigators in Lincoln County say 27 year-old Jason Scott Huskey murdered 46 year-old Marnita Dunn.
Dunn was reported missing Friday after she failed to show up for an appointment. Hours later, her body was found a short distance from her car, in the northeast part of Lincoln County by deputies.
WHNT NewsChannel 19 talked to a woman who says she heard the gunshots and saw a car race away.
Joyce Guerin lives next door to the victim's home in Flintville, Tennessee. Her town of about 5,000 people is a quiet and peaceful place to live. That wasn't the case early Friday morning.
Guerin says she heard a gun shot.
"I got up, come out, looked through the front door, the back door, but didn't see anything," said Eyewitness Joyce Guerin.
The animal lover chalked it up to someone goofing off after a wild night.
Guerin went back inside her house only to go back outside 15 minutes later.
"I heard two shots right together. Bang, bang! So, that scared me," added Guerin.
Guerin says she got up, saw lights coming from Marnita Dunn's home with someone moving around.
"He jumped in the car, and went out. He didn't even stop at the stop sign. He went away flying to 64," added Guerin.
Guerin still wasn't sure what happened. Hours later, Franklin County sheriff's deputies arrested Husky charging him with 1st-degree homicide.
WHNT NewsChannel 19 knocked on the door of Husky's home. Several people were inside. No one wanted to talk.
"No comment, thank you," said someone in the home where Husky lived.
Joyce Guerin told WHNT NewsChannel 19 she didn't know her 46 year-old neighbor too well. She did say Dunn was always very nice whenever she did come around.
Marnita Dunn's death is still under investigation with officials in Tennessee.
