Alabama Governor Bob Riley is going to South America to try to find some new business for our state.
The governor and other business and government leaders will be on an economic development mission to Colombia through Wednesday.
They'll meet with business prospects and Colombia's president.
Governor Riley says Alabama exported more than $432 million dollars in goods and services to Colombia last year. That's an increase of 176 percent from 2007. Alabama's top exports to colombia are industrial and electrical machinery, aircraft and vehicles.
