Update: Local Schools To Administer H1N1 Vaccines This Week, Next Week
MADISON COUNTY, AL - Elementary students in the city of Madison are getting the H1N1 vaccine today and tomorrow. Madison County Schools will administer the vaccine next week. Huntsville City Schools are still finalizing plans.

In Madison, students at Heritage Elementary, Rainbow Elementary and West Madison Elementary will get the vaccine today. They must have signed consent forms. The clinics will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at Horizon Elementary and Madison Elementary, beginning at 9:00am. Clinics will be held at Columbia Elementary and Mill Creek Elementary later that morning, beginning at approximately 11:00 to 11:30am depending on the number of students at Horizon and Madison schools.

Madison County will begin clinics on Monday, November 30 for students in grades K-3 in the following schools: Walnut Grove, New Market, Hazel Green Elementary and Lynn Fanning. Clinics will begin Monday morning at New Market and Walnut Grove and conclude with Lynn Fanning and Hazel Green Elementary.

The school system is still finalizing plans for the other K-3 schools. Packets have been sent home for parents to complete and return. If you did not get a packet from your child's school, please contact the school.

The Huntsville school system has a tentative schedule, but the superintendent is still reviewing the dates and times with school principals. We'll post it on WHNT.com as soon as it is finalized.
