HARTSELLE, AL -
Two Morgan County girls have been found, after being reported missing on Monday afternoon.
13-year-old Monica Akers and her 11-year-old sister Maggie were dropped off by a relative at the Hartselle Police Department on Thursday.
The girls' father, Jason Akers, said he and other family members had been doing anything they could to find the pair.
"We were passing out flyers, showing people pictures, and telling people what they look like," he said. "It was a whole lot of praying and a whole lot of running around."
We also spoke with Lieutenant Justin Barley, with the Hartselle Police Department.
He says the girls were being hidden by a relative, and were kept in the same place the whole time they were missing.
Lt. Barley said they're going to investigate all aspects of this case until they find the truth.
He said investigators expect to file criminal charges in the future.
