Concerned Homeowners To Hold Meeting Tonight in Madison
A group of homeowners who wants more disclosure, accountability and protection will discuss their concerns tonight at Madison City Hall. You're invited to this public meeting.

WHNT NEWS 19 first told you about the troubles one community was having with their homeowner's association in a series of reports called American Nightmare. Following the reports, a group of homeowners formed the Alabama Concerned Homeowners Alliance. The group is pushing for disclosure, accountability and protection when purchasing real estate in communities governed by homeowners associations.

Alabama lacks a disclosure law when it comes to homeowners associations.

Tuesday evening, the group will hold a roundtable discussion with leaders and lawmakers. The group has invited municipal, county and state leaders, along with members of the Alabama Real Estate Commissioners and HAAR, the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors.

The meeting is open to the public. It's set for 6:30pm at Madison City Hall, at 100 Hughes Road in Madison. The meeting will be in the council chambers.
