Mother, Two Sons Killed In Giles County Fire
PULASKI, TN -
A fire in Giles County killed a mother and her two children overnight. The fire broke out around 1:34am Friday at a home on Milky Way Drive in Pulaski.
Neighbors called 911 after hearing an explosion, and by the time firefighters arrived, the mobile home and a nearby vehicle were engulfed in flames.
Once the fire was out, firefighters found three bodies inside. They have been identified as Desere Thornton, 38, Jerrod Thornton, 16, and Anthony Thornton, 9.
Giles County Fire Marshal Barry Whitt said the three were taken to Nashville for an autopsy to determine an exact cause of death.
No word yet on the cause of the fire.
