Huntsville Police Arrest Teenager In Fire Off Meridian Street
There's new information about a pair of fires that kept Huntsville fire fighters busy on Wednesday night. Police arrested 18-year-old Jeremy Davis for one of those fires, and could charge him with the other.

The first call came in around 9pm. Three fire trucks responded to the fire at a vacant building off the 2100 block of Meridian Street, on Front Street. That's the one Davis is charged with. Witnesses say they saw him running from the scene, and police caught up with him and arrested him. Davis is charged with second-degree arson.

Firefighters say smoke and flames were showing when they arrived at the scene. They were able to put out the fire quickly. The damage there was minor.

As firefighters battled that house fire, another blaze started close by at the Preston Village Flea Market. The flea market is in the 2300 block of Meridian Street. Two units had heavy damage.
