HUNTSVILLE -
A Huntsville police officer was involved in a car accident at 10:30 pm on Thursday night.
A witness told WHNT NEWS 19 the officer was driving westbound on Mastin Lake Road and collided with another car at the intersection of Mastin Lake Road and Inglewood Drive.
The witness says the driver was waiting to turn right onto Mastin Lake and ended up in in someone's front yard. Police tell WHNT NEWS 19 the car pulled out in front of the officer and that is what cause the accident.
Both the police officer and the driver were taken to the hospital. We're told that both of them are doing fine.
