HUNTSVILLE, AL—
After a highway wreck in Madison involving a state vehicle and an 18-wheeler, Huntsville Police arrested the truck driver for driving drunk.Madison Police tested truck driver Phillip Bryson's alcohol level, citing it as higher than the limit for motor carriers. They arrested Bryson for DUI and Reckless Endangerment.
The wreck happened Tuesday morning on 565 Eastbound, when Bryson crashed his semi-truck into a state vehicle that was fixing potholes. The truck then flipped on its side. The road stayed closed until about 4 p.m. It took a while to reopen it because police say they unloaded about 40,000 pounds of paper from the truck.
