Indiana Man Wanted For Rape Caught In Alabama

Police in Indianapolis are making plans to pick up a man from their state who was wanted for rape charges.

Diyon Evans, 31, was arrested in Priceville this weekend following a traffic crash on Bethel Road. Police say Evans ran over a few mailboxes, drove off and then wrecked his vehicle about half a mile down the road.


Police took him to Decatur General Hospital for observation, and then arrested him upon his release.

Evans was wanted for the rape of a mentally incapacitated patient at Eagle Valley Meadows Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis. He used to be a nursing assistant there.

Evans was also wanted for charges of criminal deviate conduct and sexual battery.
