HUNTSVILLE, AL -
Police have charged a Huntsville with murder in connection to a shooting that happened July 4. Levi Cawthorn, 47, is charged in the death of Thomas Steger, 31.
The shooting happened outside of a home in the 4700 block of Raton Boulevard, near Gunnison Lake. Investigators say the two men got in an argument, and Cawthorn went inside the home and got a pistol.
Police say he then went back outside and shot Steger once. Cawthorn ran away, but police caught him. He is being held in the Madison County Jail.
