MOULTON - Need a NOAA weather radio, but can't afford one? If you live in Lawrence County, you're in luck.

This Saturday, June 6, the Lawrence County Severe Weather Early Warning Committee will give out more than 400 free NOAA weather radios at the Moulton Recreation Center.

The event starts at 8:00am, and ends when supplies run out.

To qualify for one of these radios, you must fill out an application, live in Lawrence County and show proof of income of $2,500 or less per month per household.

If you have already received a weather radio from this committee, you do not qualify.

Various companies and individuals have made these radios possible through donations, with the goal of saving lives during severe weather in Lawrence County.

Volunteers will also program your weather radio for free, and answer any questions you may have.

If you have any questions regarding this upcoming event, please call the Lawrence County EMA office at (256) 974-7641.
