HUNTLAND, TN - Authorities in Franklin County, Tennessee have caught two men wanted in connection with a possible kidnapping in Madison County.

Chief Deputy Brent Perry said Raymond Clayton Belcher, 29, and Jermaine Lebron Suttles, 27, were caught without incident just after noon, about five miles from where they ran away after a short car chase Sunday in Huntland.

The two men suffered some minor bruises, but were not seriously hurt. Both are from Chattanooga.

Franklin County Sheriff Tim Fuller says the two men could face numerous charges, including evading arrest and reckless endangerment just in Franklin County, as well as additional charges in other counties.

Fuller says Belcher and Suttles kidnapped and robbed two men in New Market on Sunday. The sheriff says somehow the men got away from their kidnappers at a convenience store in Huntland.

Authorities came to track the suspects down, and a brief chase started.

Sheriff Fuller says something didn't seem right from the start.

"A lot of that, what sticks with me is the motivation behind this particular incident is whether, what's the cause, what's the motivation of robbery and kidnapping, what is that motivation," said Fuller.

Sheriff Fuller says Belcher and Suttles jumped out of their car and ran off into an open 750-acre field. Several agencies then came to help search for the two men, including Madison County, Alabama deputies, and deputies from Lincoln and Moore counties. They found the men around 11:45am Monday.

The investigation is ongoing.
