After weeks of getting the school prepared for demolition, the old Moulton Middle School came tumbling down Wednesday.
Bulldozers take claws and rip into the bricks of the old Moulton Middle School, on Main Street.
"It's sad memories, but they need a bigger better place," said Jewel Key.
Jewel Key and sister Carolyn Tatum sneak up on the property to get a souvenir from the school.
"I got a little momento from it. and I was very pleased to receive that," said Carolyn Tatum.
Moulton Police Chief Lyndon McWhorter grew up down the street from the school.
"I had more fond memories of playing there than I did studying," said Chief Lyndon McWhorter.
Moulton Middle School was a high school in 1939. Now the land will be a parking lot.
Moulton has a new middle school, built right behind where crews demolished the school.
