Lifeguards, Paramedics Save Boy From Drowning at YMCA

There were some frightening moments at the YMCA on Weatherly Road on Wednesday morning. A small child nearly drowned.

Thanks to some quick thinking by lifeguards and paramedics, it appears the four-year-old boy is going to be okay.


Witnesses say the four-year-old was pulled from one of the pools, and was motionless. Lifeguards immediately started performing CPR, and were able to revive him.

The boy was rushed to the pediatric unit at Huntsville Hospital. Paramedics at the scene said the child should be fine.
