Redstone Federal Credit Union is working to clear up what it calls a false rumor about compromised accounts. Below is the news release from Redstone Federal Credit Union.

REDSTONE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION FRAUD SCARE IS FALSE
June 25, 2009 A rumor began with an email this morning and has been circulating through local employers and the community that a number of Redstone Federal Credit Union member accounts have been "emptied to a zero balance" IS FALSE!
Redstone Federal Credit Union wants to assure all of its members that their accounts are safe, sound and secure.
"It is dangerous in this electronic age how quickly false rumors regarding financial institutions can be spread," according to Roberta Rodgers, Vice President Risk Management at Redstone. "Our members have no reason to be concerned."
Redstone Federal Credit Union would like to remind everyone, as a measure of good financial management, to routinely check their accounts for any unauthorized activity.
