MADISON COUNTY, AL—
Elementary students in some Huntsville city schools received the H1N1 vaccination Thursday, as workers with the Madison County Health Department visited nine schools. More will follow in the coming days. If your child brings home a permission slip, please sign and return it if you want your child to receive the vaccine.On Thursday, students with signed consent forms received the vaccine at Lincoln County Elementary, Martin Luther King Elementary, Chapman Elementary, East Clinton Elementary, Rolling Hills Elementary, Lakewood Elementary, West Mastin Lake Elementary, Montview Elementary and Highlands Elementary.
More vaccinations will follow at other Huntsville elementary schools in the coming days.
Madison County Schools will also hold more vaccination clinics in the coming days. Students at Madison Cross Roads Elementary, Monrovia Elementary and Endeavor Elementary will have the opportunity to receive the vaccine on Tuesday, December 8. The following day, December 9, health workers will visit Madison County Elementary, Harvest Elementary and Legacy Elementary to administer the vaccines.
Students in Madison City Schools received the vaccine during the last week of November.
