DECATUR, AL -
A Decatur man faces a charge of second-degree rape for an incident from December 2008 that involved a 12-year-old girl.
Police say they received a report on December 26 that Sha'King Stover, then 19, had raped a 12-year-old girl. Detective Todd Pinion began to investigate the matter.
Prosecutors presented the case to the Morgan County Grand Jury in October. The grand jury's indictment was released on November 3. Police arrested Stover on November 5 at his home, located at 3110 Farmington Road.
Stover is charged with second-degree rape, and is being held in the Morgan County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
