A Franklin County woman stands accused of raping a teenage boy. Ashley Turner, 24, of Hodges, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old.
A grand jury indicted Turner with the charge in May. Authorities say the encounters happened at the boy's home in 2008. The two were friends. Authorities say the boy consented to the acts.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Department was notified about the allegation in August by the Franklin County Department of Human Resources, which already had an investigation underway.
The boy's parents notified DHR after they learned what was happening.
The case could go to trial later this year. Turner is out of jail on a $7,500 bond.
