Man Shot and Killed in Anderson
An altercation between two Lauderdale County men this afternoon lead to a shooting that is now under investigation.

According to law enforcement, the shooting happened just after 2:30pm on county road 656, that's in the town of anderson. Investigators believe the victim, Homer Wood Jr. showed up at the home of Barry Swan and started threatening him.

Police Say Swan got a four-ten gauge, single barrel shotgun that was near-by and shot Wood one time in the chest. Investigators then say Swan left the scene and went to a nearby store and called 9-1-1.

Wood was pronounced dead on the scene. Barry Swan was taken in for questioning, but at this time no charges have been filed. During the investigation, officers found a mobile meth lab in the trunk of the car that Homer Wood was driving.
