Boy Donates Birthday Money To Fayetteville Girl Hurt in Accident
FAYETTEVILLE, TN - On April 18th, Ella Brown of Fayetteville was in a horrible accident. She was playing outside when a truck lost control and pinned her between his truck and Ella's father's.

Paramedics flew her by helicopter to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Doctors weren't sure if Ella, age 6, would make it through the night, but she survived the awful incident. She is now recovering in Children's Health Care of Atlanta and has suffered severe lung damage, broken ribs, a broken arm, and a broken collar bone.

A seven-year-old boy from the community heard about the accident and wanted to help. Riley Warden celebrated his birthday a couple of weeks ago, and had planned a skating birthday party on Saturday.

"I decided to help people instead of getting presents for my birthday," Warden says. "And then I heard about Ella, [who] had a big, bad accident and I wanted to help her."

Riley sent out invitations to the entire community, inviting them to come to his party with a card and donation for Ella.

Riley has never met Ella, but being so close in age, he really felt bad about what had happened to her. He says he feels good when he helps people.

Several strangers, classmates, and some of Ella's family members attended the skating party at Star Wheels Skate Center. Roger Corder is Ella's Granddaddy, and says he was touched by the outpouring of love to his granddaughter.

"Words can't say enough how much that we thank people like this with what they've done and how much it means," Corder said.

The Brown family is asking everyone for prayers. They hope and pray Ella will make a quick recovery and come back home. You can make financial donations at any branch of the Bank of Lincoln County.
