MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA—
Several Tennessee Valley Roads are impacted by the overnight snow. The slick conditions shouldn't last long, but motorists are urged to use caution if you have to get out on the road early this morning.Here are some travel trouble spots: (As of Saturday 6:30am)
- Highway 231/431 and Stegers Curve in Meridianville is closed due to a multi-vehicle wreck.
- Huntsville Police have closed southbound lanes of the Memorial Parkway, south of University.
- Some Overpasses & elevated portions of Interstate 565 east and westbound are closed due to slick conditions from ice.
- In Decatur, police are keeping an eye on some overpasses there - including 14th Street and Gordon Terry Parkway.
- In Fayetteville, there are some slick spots on bridges including the Kelso Bridge and Highland Run Road Bridge.
- A viewer reports that there are some icy spots on US 43 bridges in Franklin County.
The Tennessee Valley received a dusting of snow overnight Friday into Saturday. Parts of Madison County received a half an inch to nearly an inch of snow.
WHNT NEWS 19's Jeff Gray is in DeKalb County this morning. He has been in Rainsville and Valley Head. State Troopers patrolling on Sand Mountain told Jeff Gray that there aren't any accidents this morning. Jeff has been showing live video of the dusting of snow across DeKalb County. It's a scenic winter wonderland there this morning.

Viewers in Marshall County indicate more than an inch of snow fell on some of the highest elevations.
Steve Mills in Priceville says he measured in 2 spots and got 7/8 of an inch on Burning Tree Mt.
Rudy Greer reports 1.75" of snow in his backyard in Arab.
Holly Hansen reports 1.75" of snow on Keel Mountain.
Another viewer says he got 1.25" at Skyline.
Vickie Harris in the Swearingen Community near Grant says she got nearly an 1" of snow.
Jeff Williams says he had at least 2" of snow on the bluff in Section. He also says it got down to 28 degrees overnight.
Laura Lucas reports 1.25" in Union Hill on Brindlee Mountain.
