Fire Causes Severe Damage At Triana Library, Boys & Girls Club
TRIANA, AL - Thousands of books are ashes, and a place for local children is damaged from a fire at the Triana Public Library late Sunday night.

The fire started just before 11:30pm. The Huntsville Fire Department and Triana volunteer firefighters responded to the library, on Zierdt Road, to find the building engulfed in flames.

Firefighters got most of the flames under control in about half an hour.

In addition to housing the library, the building is also home to the Triana Boys and Girls Club. Firefighters were able to keep the flames away from that part of the building, but that side did suffer heavy smoke damage.

No one was hurt.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the fire yet. WHNT NEWS 19 will stay on top of this story Monday. We'll bring you additional details as soon as we learn them.
