UNA Looking To Offer Doctoral Degree
Things could get a lot more convenient for educators in northwest Alabama seeking a Doctoral degree. The University of North Alabama is in the works of partnering with the University of Alabama to offer Doctoral degrees in education. This means educators will no longer have to make the commute all the way to Tuscaloosa. Instead, they can work toward their Doctoral degree on UNA's campus. The University of North Alabama's Relations Director, Josh Woods, said, "we're very excited because it will mean a lot to the teachers in the area and it's going to benefit both universities...the program at the University of Alabama and the program here at UNA." The program's approval is still pending, but University of North Alabama administrators hope to see it up and running by this fall.
