HUNTSVILLE, AL—
Here's new information about the deadly wreck that happened Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 565 in Huntsville. Police say Gary Robert McClaran, 59, of Pinson died in the crash.The wreck happened in the westbound lane of I-565 around 1:15pm, just past the Research Park Boulevard exit. Huntsville Police immediately closed all but one westbound lane of I-565.
Those lanes were closed for nearly two hours, backing up traffic for miles.
Police say Tuesday's rainy weather may have been a factor in the deadly crash.
