NewsChannel 19's Janine Reyes reports:
The Madison County Sheriff's Department has made a break in the case involving a bizarre home invasion last month.
On March 5th, two masked men broke into a home on Ovella Drive, shooting all three family members inside the house. Thursday night, deputies arrested two brothers and charged them with three counts of attempted murder and one count of robbery in the attack.
Deputies said the brothers are the masked men who opened fire on 61 year-old Joyce Medley and her twin sons Jerry and Terry. Early speculation was that the attack may have been a hired hit. Deputies still aren't able to confirm or deny that. They told us they could not comment because the case is an ongoing investigation.
The men charged with the shooting are 39 year-old Patrick Scott Edwards and 38 year-old Rock Chris Edwards of New Market.
Family members said they did not know the brothers.
The Sheriff's Department is looking to question more people and said more arrests could come.
The brothers became suspects Thursday when forensics led deputies to a witness.
