HUNTSVILLE, AL - A former Lee High School athlete has been drafted to play for the Atlanta Braves.

Kyle Rose, who played baseball at Lee and then Northwest Shoals Community College, was picked in the 8th round of the Major League Baseball draft this morning.

One other interesting note about Rose -- he was one of the students involved in the Lee High School bus crash in November 2006. He was on the bus when it flipped off an Interstate 565 overpass. Four students died in crash.

Sports Director John Pearson will have more about this story tonight on WHNT NEWS 19 at 6:00 and 10:00.
